The PDF is temporarily processed by ConvertTree to apply password encryption. The generated temporary file is deleted after it is sent back to you.

Security

Anyone opening the protected PDF will need this password. ConvertTree does not store or recover it.

Password

Use at least 8 characters. 12+ is recommended.

A separate random owner password is generated internally. No external executable such as qpdf is required.

Choose a PDF and create a password to protect it with AES-256.

If you forget the password, ConvertTree cannot recover it.
